Care Manager Duties and Responsibilities
Serving as a companion to clients
Transporting clients to and from appointments, errands, activities, etc.
Medication Reminders
Preparing Meals
Interpersonal Skills, including exceptional patience and listening skills
The ability to provide care across a variety of settings, including group homes and day services
Care Manager Skills and Qualifications
Experience with the aging population
Empathy and the ability to care for the client’s social, emotional, and physical needs
Training in any special areas of care you provide (dementia care, hospice, etc)
The average pay for a Care Manager is $12.00 per hour. Hourly wages may vary based on the amount of experience, special training in specialized areas such as dementia, hospice/end of life and disease management.
